I bought a large old homestead that needed a lot of work (including the design and installation of a new ensuite bathroom, a new laundry, and new walk-in wardrobe, reno of old bathroom, and creating needed light and airflow throughout the house with new windows, as well as new walls in eight rooms), and Tony Hill, from Econic Design & Construction, and his tradesmen, thankfully came my way. Having never undertaken house renovations before, and being a middle aged woman on my own, the whole process was incredibly daunting, and at times overwhelming for me. We wanted a building that would blend in with our rainforest surroundings. Tony invited us to look through one of his projects under construction and we loved how his design brings the outdoors inside. The unique elevations, open space and extensive glazing make the place feel just like a large home. The inclusion of sophisticated finishing's provided an element of luxury typically only found in high end builds. Tony is a highly passionate hands-on builder and was very adaptable to any of our ideas. A chat one afternoon was a sketch the next day and then within days we had a draft design with costing and constructability assessment. The whole crew were so easy to get along a with and we all felt like we were a part of their team.
We set out to build a granny flat and ended up with a home amongst the trees. Mum couldn't be happier, she feels like queen of the castle, and that's what all mums deserve. Tony and his team made this possible, trust them to build your dream.
